Our mission as a basketball organization that specializes in player development is to love and innovate the game of basketball while igniting inspiration within ourselves and those around us to become the best versions of themselves.
Our team
Jayquan Leonard
Collegiate Athlete, Entrepreneur
Jayquan Leonard is a colligate athlete at the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth on the Men's Basketball Team. He was recently named captain in March 2024 and is perusing a bachelors degree in Accounting. This last season, he led he is conference in assists per game and led his team to the semi conference finals. Previously, he attended Curry College where he was a captain there and led his team in scoring and assists. In January 2020, he became the 18th player in the history of Plymouth to eclipse 1,000 points in his high school career. Now he is the founder of Plymouth Hoop Academy and plans to expand his company to give back to the community he grew up in.

Historical Landmark
Plymouth Rock, a historic symbol in Massachusetts, serves as the inspiration for Plymouth Hoop Academy, a basketball training business. The academy uses a basketball creatively marked to resemble the rock as its emblem, symbolizing the foundational and enduring values of perseverance and teamwork.

Thomas Faunce, a 94-year-old church elder who said his father, who arrived in Plymouth in 1623, along with several of the original Mayflower passengers assured him the boulder was the exact landing spot.
